Remembering the Alpacas

While recently updating my blog I realized I forgot a few things. Last summer, we seemed to be very busy with days to the park, Silverwood and camping. On August 13, 2010, we took a trip to visit a local Alpaca Farm with our playgroup friends. The family was originally from Corona, in Southern California, so I enjoyed chatting with them about that. Well, I think they may have started in Sandpoint, Idaho moved to New York, then to California, and now back to Idaho in Dalton Gardens. They were a wonderful family who opened up their farm for our kids to run and enjoy the alpacas.
The alpacas were so soft and friendly. It really made me want one, not that I actually see that happening anytime in my near futre.
They had a table with items made from the alpaca fleece. All the children were able to pick out a finger puppet.
The babies were so especially soft and cute. The kids were able to run into the large field with the alpacas, as long as they were not chasing the animals.
This was one of my favorite field trips. The family was so wonderful and the alpacas were so sweet, soft, and friendly.

Play Group Field Trip to Tomato Street...7-14-10

Helping Taylor draw her name and a picture on the table before our tour began.
Lorinda is like my little partner in crime, as we gallivant all over town, entertaining our little ladies. We do take a lot of pictures. Taylor sees her mom and knows to smile. I love this picture of Lorinda, giving me a little pose, as I take a picture of the play group on our tour of Tomato Street.
Tomato Street put on a great little tour! They let a couple of children help to make pizza and provided pizza and spaghetti for all the kids.
They also cover the tables in paper. It's great fun to draw on the table...
The kids had a great time!

Cat Tales on 7-7-10

We went on a few field trips with our play group friends over the summer too. This was a trip to Cat Tales in Spokane. It was very hot that day, so not all the "cats" wanted to come out where we could see them. It's a fairly small park, but it was fun.
Obviously, this is a tiger. One of the more impressive cats. There are many different types. Of coure, our girls being silly...Anissa, Taylor the ham, and Makenna...
There were also some bears, which are pretty big when they stand up.
It was a fun little tour we had, but it's not a place I would frequent because it was quite the drive.

Play Group at the Park

Last weekend we also went over to the Gordon's for the race and BBQ. Taylor got to play on Kyler's new playground. Ben was surprised at all she was able to do. He doesn't make it to the park with us much...and he clearly hasn't been reading my blog or he would have seen pictures of how able she has become to climb all over.
This is a great park, but it's so big we run around a lot keeping an eye on our children so the mom's don't get to visit much...but the kids have fun!
We packed a lunch, and a bucket for sand...
I like to get Taylor over to the toddler side of the park where it's easier to watch her. She looks so much bigger on the slide...
I love her little piggy tails blowing in the breeze of the swing...
