Mother's Day 2012

On Mother's Day 2012 we went to Avondale Golf Club for brunch.  Although, Matt works many weekends, I'm so glad he was able to come out for brunch before heading off to work.  He and Holly actually met Ben for golf, early, before brunch.

Dave and Jeanette (grandpa and grandma) met us for brunch as well.

Taylor had a little gift for me

After brunch we went and watched YeoWon play a little soccer...
Then Taylor and I rode along in the golf cart while Holly and Ben played the back nine.

I just love to be out with a glass of wine and enjoy the scenery.  Holly let me hit a few, I'm really not so good, but I do enjoy getting some pictures...

A few days before Mother's Day, Holly watched Taylor, while I had dinner with some mom friends.  When I went to pick her up, I was completely surprised with a cupcake bouquet...
I was so impressed with the detail of the "dirt" made of oreo cookie crumbs with gummy worms and every cupcake decorated with a flower...
And a card made with Taylor's hand print!!  So sweet!!  Thanks Holly!!

Grandpa's Birthday, February 11, 2012

Grandma wrote a note and Taylor copied it into this book we had made and gave to grandpa for his birthday.  I love that she will do this so willingly for grandma.  Taylor doesn't always like to practice writing with me at home, but I'm glad she does it for others.  Taylor was so excited to have a birthday dinner for grandpa at our house.  She put together a gift bag and colored a sign...
She even dressed like a princess for the event...

After dinner grandpa opened his gift from Taylor which included pictures she made, raisins, and even a one of a kind maze created especially for him.

Our Early Christmas, December 23, 2011

Matt and Holly came over in their PJ's. We were celebrating our Christmas with them early because they were going to Wisconsin to have Christmas with Holly's family. This was my first Christmas without Matt since the day he was born. For 24 years I have had Christmas morning with Matt, so I was a little sad to not have him with me this year. However, I am glad we have Holly, and understand I must share. The compromise is they go see Holly's family for Christmas and I have them every other day of the year. So, I guess that's fair enough...sigh...
Family Christmas photo...
Taylor and Holly were sharing and trading hair clips and head bands.
A little dance central in the living room...always fun...
Matt and Taylor...my kiddos...they grow up so fast...
Ben made another fabulous prime rib.
Grandma and Grandpa joined us for our early Christmas celebration.

Matt and Holly gave Taylor this wonderful little Princess tent. She loves it!
Taylor made a bed inside and spent the night in her new tent. We even set up the DVD player and she was quite comfortable, and enjoys this quite often. It's a great place to play with her Princess Barbies. It was a very Merry Christmas!

Kick off to the Holiday Season...November 25, 2011

The day after Thanksgiving, we went over to grandma and grandpa's house, where everything is always a picture perfect moment. Taylor was outside with her grandpa and the horses and her cousins were there too, Kimberly and Yeo Won. Grandpa was helping Taylor on Trinity.
I don't know a lot about horses, which is really not much of anything at all. Taylor loves them! Her grandpa and grandma have four: Pepsi, Buddy, Trinity, and Shilo. Taylor usually rides with her grandma on Pepsi, but today she was on Trinity.
I'm loving my new camera, which isn't an expensive camera, but has some nice features and I feel like I'm capturing some nice photos of one of my favorite faces of all time. This is how I get behind on my blog. I want to include my favorite photos and I have so many favorites that it takes so long to upload which really I don't always have enough time for, sadly. However, I do love this little face and I love taking pictures of all she does.
My little 5 year old leading Pepsi down to the corral. These horses know Taylor, and grandpa says this is okay, and Pepsi is allowing this, so there she goes.
Now Taylor's on Pepsi.
One of my favorite things to do to kick off the Holiday season is go to the fireworks downtown. I would love to watch the parade too, but Ben's not a big fan of the downtown crowds, so I'm usually lucky to get him downtown at all. Sometimes the weather is bad, so I don't push my luck. It was a wonderful day and I'm so excited we are heading downtown early...
We went to the Beacon with Uncle John, Aunt Jan, Grandma and Grandpa and watched the parade through the window. It was lots of fun!! I even made hot chocolate for Taylor to sip on, which she enjoyed.
Here we are as excited as can be...
Holly and Matt met us at the Beacon and we walked over to find our place to watch the fireworks.
Family photo. Not always easy to get.
Matt helping Holly to "see" better.
Our "after fireworks" family photo, with pink cheeks and noses. A great evening! I love it when we are all together.
