Baseball

Much to my delight, Taylor woke up at 6am this morning. She watched an episode of Dora involving Boots playing baseball. She started asking about a baseball, but I wouldn't let her go downstairs like she was asking since Ben was sleeping (he was working nights this week). When he came up she went downstairs and came back with this white board. She wanted to play baseball. I was surprised she put it all together. The board was on a shelf and I would not have expected her to even notice it. Nevertheless, here we are with a little game in the house...nice pitch Taylor. Ben said he will need to get her a real bat, but for now, this has been entertaining her all day.

Matt and Taylor

I look at Matt holding Taylor and it seems like it was not too long ago he was two years old. Time goes by so fast! Taylor will sometimes say, "I want to see my Matt." He's a good big brother...we love him!

Taylor likes to Sweep

These are two different days where Taylor asked to sweep the floors. This is good fun! I hope she always enjoys helping me clean.

First Outside Slide of the Season

It was sunny, not warm. Taylor spotted this slide outside of play group and really wanted to play. Lorinda and I took the girls over for a little while, despite the very cool temperatures. I was surprised to see Taylor fearlessly climbing this ladder.
She loves to slide! Unfortunately, we couldn't play long because it was just too cold and we were not prepared to be standing outside in it. Anissa and Taylor climbed up and slid down several times and then we pushed them on the swings for a bit.
It was nice to be outside in the sunshine. Oddly enough, I was surprised to wake up this morning to more snow. It doesn't look like snow in this picture.

Taylor at Play

Last weekend we also went to Brad and Melody's to watch the race and cook pork shoulder in the smoker. This was very tasty. Their little Kyler is always patient and shares so well with Taylor. Here she is using his gun and pretending she is shooting cans out the window.

Taylor has been using these little baskets to collect apples. She pretends the plastic balls are apples and she collects them and brings them upstairs to share with her daddy and me.
I love to watch her play!

A visit from the Yarnell's

Karianne, David and the girls came to visit and stayed at our house one evening last weekend. Taylor enjoyed watching the girls play. She liked going up and down the stairs and playing with her kitchen. They were pretending they were running a bakery at one point. Taylor still plays this game...answering the phone like she's taking orders.
I think a lot of the time she was just amazed by them and how they played...cousins are fun and we enjoyed having them all over.

Big Horn Sporstman Show

I got a new camera phone and I'm still getting use to taking pictures with it...I didn't mean to cut Ben out of the picture, but Taylor looks cute sitting there.
We were watching the dogs run and jump into a large pool to see who could jump the farthest.
This was fun to watch. I also like how Taylor is wiggling Ben's ears as she sits on his shoulders (see below)...
When we talked about it later, she remembered the dogs jumping into the water and walking thrugh the tunnels. She thought it was fun and made sure she was able to walk through each tunnel connecting the events...

Anissa's 4th Birtday

Taylor and Great Grandma Peak are singing Happy Birthday to Anissa. I'm so glad Taylor and I get to see Anissa and Makenna pretty regularly! Taylor had so much fun at Anissa's party.
There were balloons and cupcakes...Taylor was thrilled. They even played pin the tail on the donkey.
However, I think her favorite part was getting this little fan in her bag of treats!

An Afternoon with Daddy

Ben took Taylor with him to visit Brad one afternnon. Brad was giving Taylor whatever she asked. At one point, he was out of the room. Taylor started looking around and said, "Where's my daddy?" Ben, who was standing right there, said, "I'm right here." Apparently, she was looking for the "yes" guy who was giving her treats. Ben said, "Do you mean Brad?" Taylor said, "Yes."

Snow and Turkey Day

My poor little Taylor woke up early Sunday morning with an upset tummy. This is her second illness causing her to throw up. It only lasted a couple of hours. She slept most the rest of the day. Unfortunately, we missed our much anticipated trip to Moscow for the baby shower.
Since Taylor was sick on Sunday, I feared the illness would spread to Ben and me so Taylor and I spent a relaxing Monday at home watching the snow fall.
Matt received a turkey from work, so since we were feeling well, I cooked it for him. I think it turned out nice and tasty...
As I was driving to my spinning class Monday evening, on the icy roads, I did feel a little guilty for wishing for more snow since my husband does need to drive to work in it. I do think it's very pretty and my yard always looks lovely covered in snow! Not to mention, there is no asking for anyone to mow the grass, which is a peace keeper. I would like to take Taylor to the park when it warms up, but I do love the sun shining on the snow and the pretty blue skies.

A Brief Snow Day

Last Thursday Taylor and I enjoyed watching the big snow flakes cover our little neighborhood. I would not mind having a little more snow. It is so pretty. It fell big and fast, but it did not last. While the snow was falling, Taylor was playing dress up...
Oh, and here she is, back in my shoes, in her Minnie Mouse pajamas.

Matt's home Improvements

Matt changed out his kitchen and dining room floors over the past two weekends. I'm so impressed with all he has done with painting and now this. All while working and attending school full-time. Good Job Matt! You make me so proud!

While Mommy was Away...

While I was at my spinning class this evening, daddy was home with Taylor. Here's a little story he told me when I got home. He was laying on the couch and Taylor came up to him and said, "I see a booger in your nose. It's okay, I can get it. Just look up daddy, I can get it. I want to get it. It's okay daddy, I get your booger. I just want to get it. Please daddy. I pick your booger. Please daddy." So, I kind of imagine him laughing and turning his head away while Taylor attempts to convince him she should pick his nose. This is the most dialogue I have heard about this subject; however, it is not the first time she has tried to mother him regarding his nose. Good times!
