Matt's Levi's

Matt had the cutest little pair of Levi's. This picture is from October 1988, he was 16 months old. He was wearing a diaper and the jeans were rolled up because they were long.
Here Taylor's wearing the same jeans. She is 3 years 3 months old and is not wearing a diaper (of course), so they fit her, but are just about too short.

Mrs Buttersworth

Taylor was so happy to see Mrs Buttersworth, she wanted to hold her on the way home from the grocery store. When we got home, Ben was leaving to take a load to the dump. Taylor wanted to go with him...and she took Mrs Buttersworth too.

Taylor's First Dance Class

It came to my attention, as I was watching Taylor at her first dance class, that I may "baby" her a little too much. She did great! She looks like such a "bigger" little girl as she was following direction and tapping her toes. My eyes well up as I watch her growing so fast. She's still a tiny girl, still weighing 28lbs. I didn't want to buy clothes until after her first class, incase they wanted us to buy something specific. In this picture she is wearing a white "onsie" size 24mos, with a little white skirt and pink tights. For her next class she will have an actual leotard, but it is still a size 2T.

Daily Fun with Taylor

We drove up to Sandpoint one day to get a pizza at Second Avenue Pizza. It's a favorite. We don't go there often, but if we are ever driving through the area, we order one to take home. When they brought the pizza to the table, Taylor said, "That is the biggest pizza I ever, ever saw in my whole life."
That's the face of a girl who has been eating chocolate kisses. She gets them out of the bowl, hides them behind her back and brings them out to me and says, "close your eyes....ta da!" And then we tell her she can't have that many. She does love a good chocolate!
After my shower, I gave Taylor a bath. I put the towel on her head like me. She says, "Oh, look at my hairdo." She loves it!
Taylor said she was making a nest for her duck. Later she said, "look mom, I'm making a flower for my duck so he will be beautiful like you." She is so darn sweet!!
A fun day at jump-a-lot with Lorinda and the girls.
Taylor wearing my Christmas present. These are very nice Hunter boots. I tried to wear them the other day with my rain coat, but Ben was home and said I couldn't because there was no rain and it wasn't even that wet outside. I said, but don't I just look cute like this, to which he replied you always look good. That's my guy! He's so smart and always knows the right thing to say!
Taylor enjoying some pickled garlic. She loves pickled garlic!
My mom made this robe for me when I was little. A little bit bigger than Taylor, but she's getting bigger everyday...so fast...
Taylor enjoying her new bed...
I'm pretty sure daddy said no jumping on the bed...

Taylor at Play

Taylor started watching Frosty the Snowman a little early, like around hunting season 2009. She got a little toy from my grandma that she called Karen because it had blond hair. When we were shopping one day and we found an actual Karen, Taylor was very excited. She knows her daddy thinks she has a lot of toys. She said, "I have a lot of toys, but I have room for one more...Karen." I also enjoyed hearing her sing "Rudolf the off nosed reindeer" this year.
Taylor plays very well by herself. I love to watch her as she plays with her toys, making up stories and adventures. As of now, I don't think we will need any additional furniture for her house. The horses need the room.
I try not to disturb her, but I do like to catch a picture of her now and then, enjoying all her "friends."

Dinner with the Gordons

We have had many prime ribs, made by Brad. This time, we were having Brad, Melody and Kyler over to our house for dinner. As Taylor often asks, "Mom, can I help?" Here she is helping me make artichoke dip.
Not everyone likes to have their picture taken, but I love to take them anyway. We love to spend time with the Gordons!
Kyler and Taylor play very well together. Kyler is so sweet with Taylor and she just loves him!
She waited at the bottom of the slide and would "catch" him as he slid down.

Christmas 2009

It was a wonderful Christmas! Taylor happily holding her big jar of lemon dill pickled garlic. She knew exactly what it was when she saw it. She loves pickled garlic!
I love her face as she reaches her entire arm deep into her stocking to pull out goodies.
Matt has always been happy for all his gifts whether it's socks or tooth paste...my good boy!
Taylor would open gifts then play a little. We took turns, but when it came to Taylor, her turns took a little longer. It made for a nice relaxing morning. Enjoying each treasure as we found it.
This is a standard gift. They each get a calendar.
Ahhh, yes, the coveted crock pot. Ben almost didn't want to give this to Matt.
Sipping mimosa's as we snacked on my ham and cheese croissant filled breakfast goodness.
My mom sent up a little Alien Micro Fly which proved to be VERY entertaining. The coolest miniature flying UFO...by Alien Technologies Ltd (this is for me). I always love to get a cute picture of my children smiling...
In the afternoon we went over to visit grandma and grandpa for lunch and to open some more gifts.
We always love to visit with grandma and grandpa!
I got another family picture...which makes me happy...
At the end of the day, we went back home to relax. Matt always comes home for Christmas. Yes, he drives the entire 6.9 miles from his house to ours and spends Christmas eve night and wakes up with us on Christmas day. Ben even followed Taylor downstairs with the video camera as she woke up her big brother to get our Christmas started. It was a very nice day!

Christmas Eve Dinner 2009

She is so very sweet! She was sitting here waiting for her daddy's prime rib and fell asleep. Apparently all the excitement was just too much.
We enjoyed our dinner. Matt and Ben especially love to get their huge slabs of meat.
Taylor did wake up during dinner. She came and sat at the table briefly, but she was really too tired for anything but more sleep. That's okay sweetie, tomorrow is a big day.

A Visit with Great Grandma Peak...12-23-09

Taylor knows where the toys are at Grandma Peak's house. My grandma babysat me and my brother many, many years ago. We even lived in this house with my grandparent's for a year and a half in 1980-81. There are a lot of nice memories here!
I always love to go through my grandma's pictures. Here she is helping Taylor take a picture.
My grandma has decorations that I remember seeing and playing with when I was little like Taylor.
We even made some chocolate chip cookies. It wasn't from scratch like we did when I was little, but they were very tasty! My grandma reminded me of the time I came to visit for three weeks before Christmas one year, when my cousin Cindy got married. I helped her make raisin filled cookies. Apparently, I was very precise as I was putting each of those cookies together. We made a lot of cookies!

Making Cookies...12-22-09

My cousin Lorinda had a wonderful idea for the girls, Taylor, Anissa, and Makenna, to make cookies. She had some recipes where they could participate. Here they are smashing up some graham crackers. She also surprised us with a special gift for Taylor involving some future visits to our favorite jumping place...it was so sweet I almost cried.
The girls had a lot of fun and the treats were very yummy too!

Mrs Clause at the Library...12-18-09

Mrs Clause came to read a story at the library one day before Christmas. They also had craft time and sang some songs using noise makers. Taylor sat with Olivia, Nathan and Owen.
