Good-bye 660, 5-20-12

Our 2005 Grizzly 660 was starting to have a few problems so Ben thought it best we get a new one before we found ourselves stranded on a long ride.  Taylor was very sad to see it go.

Our first weekend at camp with the new Grizzly 700.  We didn't have the extra seat bolted on so we didn't go for a very long ride, but Taylor did pick a baggy full of mushrooms and we did get into some snow.  I think Taylor will adjust just fine.

Bringing the Trailer home for the Season...No more camping till Spring

While Ben and I went to go get the trailer, Taylor stayed and spent the day with her grandpa. She made this birthday card for her grandma (Jeanette) who's birthday was also October 4th...like my grandma Peak and Ben's grandma Hilda. We have a lot of October birthday's...
She copied a card she saw and wrote everything herself. This was the first time she has written her name this way. It's like a mirror image of it, since things are backwards. She always does it correctly, so this was interesting to me. On the inside, she drew decorations like streamers, balls, cupcake, cake, a drink, etc. Her grandma loved it, of course. Very sweet!
Taylor did not want to ride down to camp with us only to pick up our trailer and turn around and drive home. That's a lot of driving time for a little girl. She had a great day with grandpa and Ben and I just enjoyed our drive. It was a beautiful Fall day.

I love the clouds in the forest....I always say this to Ben...it looks so romantic and mystical to me.
We went for a little drive while we were in the area.
We are so VERY fortunate to have such great friends to camp with along with such beautiful views. I do believe it was elk season, so Ben tried to get some bugling. His elk is already in our freezer, but it's fun to listen to the elk, if you can get them to make some noise.

Ben indulged me with a few pictures. It was very muddy, as you can see by our truck. I cleaned and organized the trailer and Ben hooked everything up to take it to Matt's house for the season. He's got great trailer parking for us and we just give him a few steak dinners...nice trade.
I love Fall colors and Winter snow, but I will look forward to Spring because I LOVE our wonderful friends and the camping we get to do every weekend. We are beyond blessed to spend time with such great people and go on the beautiful 4-wheeler rides we enjoy so much.

Last Weekend at Camp

I had to get a new camera because I dropped my camera in a waterfall during one of our 4-wheeler rides this summer. These were my first pictures during our last weekend at camp. Taylor, Paige and Parker playing in the sand...
Ben practicing...he is very good. He really enjoys hunting, so I support him with the many weekends he tries to spend doing it. There are a lot of those awful imported Canadian wolves causing problems with hunting the past few seasons, but Ben will got out just for the fun of it.
I love watching him do his thing, whether it's hunting or fixing something around the house...man stuff...
Taylor coloring in the trailer, while I play with my camera, and try to figure things out...
Taylor was very proud of her volcano...
Taylor was running and throwing saw dust into the air and running through it...
Getting ready for our 4-wheeler ride...Taylor is often ready to go first because she does enjoy them so much...and because she doesn't need to prepare the 4-wheeler or any of the food for the afternoon...
Jay, Ben and Rick during one of our first stops on our way to Marble Mountain...
Ben and Taylor on the top of Marble Mountain...
This was my first time on this ride and I loved the view at the top.
It was so cute to watch Ben help Taylor across all the big rocks.
They added a rock to the pyramid, apparently this is not a natural wonder.
I love these pictures of the three of us...
The forest was pretty here too...
We then drove over to a place where Taylor slid down the hill in the snow. Unfortunately she was not wearing anything close to resembling snow pants, so they did get pretty dirty, but I was able to clean them.
I just think she's so cute and I can't help but take a lot of pictures. I know she's going to grow up so fast.
Taylor showing me her dirty hands after playing in the snow...
Towards the end of our ride, Taylor fell asleep...
Our last full day at camp we spent in camp playing and sitting in the creek...
Ben and Taylor at camp...
Taylor and me by the creek. She got some goggles this summer, which were a big hit with her. She has been practicing putting her head under water.
Taylor always ready with a pose for her mom...Thanks Taylor!
And this is me playing with the settings on my camera, so another shot of Taylor...
Ben went on an evening hunt with Greg, but Rick and Dustin stayed behind at camp with Taylor and Addilynn. Taylor was calling her Ricky Ricky the babysitter.
Crystal, Danielle, Daniel and I went on my last girls ride of the season. It was a nice evening and we went to our usual place and did our usual thing, which just involves riding our 4-wheelers and posing for pictures...
And this was my last picture at camp of my sweet girl. I cleaned up the trailer and prepared it for Ben to bring back to town.
We love our camping season with our friends and family!!

A Birthday Party in Town, August 21, 2010

This was a switch from our regular camping routine. We headed in to town for Lisa's surprise party. Taylor and Kenna, and everyone waited on the dock for the boat with Lisa to arrive.
Still waiting for the boat...
It was to celebrate Lisa (40) and her mom, Susan's (60), birthday.
Rick and Jay taking the boat away...
Rick and Ben...
I was opening a bottle of wine when Daniell surprised me with the camera. My glasses fell down as she was taking the picture...
Me, Lisa, and Daniell, because girls always gather for a picture...
See, here we do it again....me, Janie, Cris, Crystal, and Daniell...
Taylor enjoyed playing on the swings and running around with the other children closer to her age...
I love this picture of me and Ben because he's smiling, which he doesn't always do for pictures...
Taylor, Ben and me...
The guys will, not so much, pose for a picture, but I got a picture of them anyway...Ben, Blaire, Jay, Bud (the famous Bud Bud the Superstud) and Rick.
Taylor was playing with this party decoration with these boys and giggling like crazy...
She had so much fun...
Taylor with little Addilynn walking in the background...
This surprised me, seeing Taylor climb this big ladder up the slide all by herself...
Taylor had so much fun playing in the park.
After the party in the park, we headed back to camp and went on an afternoon, early evening ride for fun and to get some firewood. Me and Taylor on the 4-wheeler...
A favorite Taylor 4-wheeler snack....cheese puffs....who doesn't love a good cheese puff...
Daniell, Taylor and I posing for a picture, because that is just what we do.
"Ricky Ricky" and Taylor...
Greg, Rick and Ben, probably talking about hunting.
And Taylor and Hunter.
It's the second week of February and I think we are just about ready to go camping again.
