Disney's Phineas and Ferb...a favorite!

Disney's Phineas and Ferb is one of Taylor's favorite cartoons. Ben and I enjoy it too. Taylor has been pretending to be Perry the Platypus. We say, "Hey, where's Perry." Then Taylor will come out of hiding, and we say, "Oh, there you are Perry." Just like on the show. She was very excited when Perry arrived in the mail today! So, we took him to the movies with us!

Happy Birthday to Me

Yes, another birthday for me (on July 17th). Taylor and I picked up my mom, who is in town visiting, and we went for a walk around the boardwalk in Coeur d'Alene.
A lot of activity on the lake...we watched some parasailing, the airplane take off, and some boats...it was a beautiful day for it!
Ben took Taylor to the park, while I had lunch with Matt. Thanks Matt!!
Here are my beautiful children...Matt (22) and Taylor (2yrs 9mos)...
In the evening, we went to an Indian's game with my cousins, Mike and Kristy...we had so much fun! Thank you!! And, I loved my birthday card from Taylor (and Ben) where her little voice said, "Happy Birthday Mama..." followed by the song Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. She loves to pick out and give us birthday cards...especially the ones with music!

Another Sunny Day at Boulder Beach

Well, before we went to Boulder Beach, Taylor thought it would be fun to ride the Tiny Toot Roller Coaster three or four times...so we did.
Taylor was watching the wave pool. There are actually two of them in the park. We like to jump over the waves. However, there were a disturbing amount of crickets in the water today.
Taylor actually went down a small twisty, covered, water slide with me too! It was a great way to spend the day before my birthday!

A Busy Day...for Me and Taylor

We started our beautiful, sunny, warm day with a nice, brisk walk with our play group at Black Bay Park. The kids start out in the strollers, but afterwards, they get to walk and play too. Then Taylor and I rushed off to the hospital to see little Madelyn Rose and her parents, Brandon and Holly. Little Madelyn was born on July 15th and we were anxious to see her!
After the hospital, Taylor and I took her kitty for a walk around Cabela's. Taylor needed some more fudge (it's part of an incentive program). We then went home for lunch. I had a dentist appointment in the afternoon. Taylor sat on my stomach and watched as the hygienist cleaned my teeth. Taylor even let the hygienist look at her teeth.
We wanted some huckleberries so we went downtown Coeur d'Alene to the Farmer's Market. Taylor thought it was a lot of fun. She got to sample different berries and she even danced to some music.
When Taylor's daddy got back into town, we met him at the hospital to see little Madelyn again. This time she was awake...and her daddy (Brandon) was proudly showing off all her red hair...

Welcome little Madelyn...we are so happy to meet you!

Movie Day

I actually took these pictures as the theatre was clearing out after the movie. I took Taylor to see "Horton Hears a Who" today. She sat so well through the entire movie...with her little popcorn and lemonade. It was so much fun! When her daddy got home, she told him about the elephant with the clover...so cute! She said..."remember, I eat my popcorn...and the bird got the clover...and it was lost...and the elephant had to find it."

Taylor's First Fishing Pole

Taylor was pretending her flower was a fishing pole in the living room...I think she was going to catch Nemo. Ben went shopping on Friday and came home with a fishing pole for Taylor...she was so excited!
It's a pink Barbie fishing pole and it lights up when she casts...
She loves it!
We practiced casting a lot this weekend...

Blue Grass Park in Coeur d'Alene

After play group, my cousin and I decided to take the girls to the park. If you look closely, you will see Taylor has a little lady bug on her finger.
They have a wonderful splash pad at the park. Taylor thought it was fantastic! Last year she did not even like it when the mist from the park sprayed her.
I did tell her not to drink the water, but it does make a cute picture.
Taylor quickly discovered how to start the water.
Taylor found this piece of tree...which ended up being great entertainment as her and Anissa took turns chassing each other around.
Taylor is starting to become a little "mothering." I call it mothering since she is just quoting things her mother says to her. As Anissa was running away, Taylor held out her hand and yelled, "Anissa stop...come back...because you need to." And, "Anissa, don't go in the mud." And, on the way to play group, with me, in the car, "mommy, stop singing...okay, no play group."

A Christmas Carol Train

I received an e-mail about the Disney train coming to Spokane to promote the new movie, "A Christmas Carol." I thought it would be a fun outing for Taylor and me. Unfortunately, the line was an hour and a half long. Taylor was not interested in waiting in the line, so we just walked the length of the train and took some pictures.
She did get a train tour ticket...she liked that.
I was told the movie will be geared towards younger children, where the train tour may not. It was fun to see, just the same. We walked downtown and bought her a new book instead.

4th of July Camping

After the Kiddie Parade, we went camping. It was a nice hot day, so when we arrived, daddy took Taylor down to play in the water with her friend, Tarryn.
Taylor standing in the bath of our trailer, while I gather her dry clothes.
The next day, we went on a very long, dusty 4-wheeler ride. I love Taylor's 4-wheeler riding faces...
It was hot and dusty, but the views at the top are very nice...
Taylor did not want to smile for me at first...
Then I got a smile...it was a little breezy at the top, which was very nice!
It was great for Taylor to have another little friend to play with, Brody. They were so cute together. I heard Taylor saying things like, "Come on Brody," as she would take his hand...and, "Don't get to close to the fire Brody, it is very, very hot."...and, "Brody, don't run too fast."...and, "No throwing rocks." She really liked having someone her own age to run around with.

July 3rd Kiddie Parade

Taylor and I walked the annual kiddie parade today! I decorated her tricycle with streamers, balloons, four flags, nine shiny stars, and a blue flower which held three red, white and blue pin wheels which would spin as we walked. I pushed her along the parade route. Her tricycle has a handle, so all she really had to do was sit there and look cute (not a hard task for my little princess)...
We even had a banner for our Lake City Moms Club, as we walked with our play group friends. Occasionally, Taylor would wave and say, "Happy 4th of July!" I had to remind her a few times to put her feet on the pedals as she seemed to want to let the drag down the street. She did not need to pedal, but I didn't want her dragging her feet...silly girl...
Of course, I took a lot of pictures along the way. Taylor was a little tired at the end of the parade, but we still needed to walk back up Sherman to our car. Along our walk back up Sherman, I got her a dark chocolate Gelato...yummy
Happy 4th of July everyone!

More Camping

Another weekend of camping. Taylor is sitting by the fire with her daddy as she holds her friend Page's doggy. Taylor named this doggy Sandwich. Rick taught Taylor some signs for sit and stay as she played with the dog, Belle. As long as we know enough people with dogs, maybe we will not need to actually get one for our house...
Page is entertaining Taylor with a helicopter. Taylor likes Page and thought this was wonderful.
This weekend was the first weekend I actually took the 4-wheeler out on my own with Taylor. We had so much fun riding with the girls to meet up with our guys. Parker was with us too, he road his dirt bike. Taylor being brave as she pretends to ride the 4-wheeler, making riding noises...and faces...
After we road up to meet the guys, we went on a long ride with them. We stopped by a creek to throw some rocks...
And stopped by a "moose" pond to look for frogs. Cris is carrying Taylor...as Taylor is hopeful that Parker will find her another froggy to hold...
Taylor loves being out and running around...
Page, Parker and Taylor patiently wait while the guys maneuver the 4-wheelers under a fallen tree. I thought we would have to turn around...silly me...they got all the 4-wheelers through...good daddys.
I was impressed as they found ways around all the obstacles...like lots of snow...
Taylor was thrilled to find a summer snow ball...
And pretty flowers...
And more pretty flowers...
Ben, Rick and "Ricky Ricky"...I wonder what they are talking about. I'm sure it has nothing to do with Elk.
Awww...he smiled...
And Taylor is Queen of the mountain...
Here Taylor is using her new signs to tell the butterfly to sit. She named this butterfly "Sausage." Oh, yes, the many adventures of Taylor and Sausage (the butterfly). It was a very entertaining evening by the campfire. It was a wonderful weekend! I especially enjoyed being able to start and move my own generator (so I could use my microwave in my trailer)....and taking Taylor for a long 4-wheeler ride by myself with the girls...we had so much fun!!
